Welcome to the Public Library in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
Hot Springs is located at the southern end of the beautiful Black Hills. The Public Library has become a Community Center since the doors opened to this unique and comfortable building in 2007.
Local citizens and tourists alike use the public access computers; there is also wireless Internet access throughout the building and on the sunny patio. A variety of programs for all ages is offered through the year.
People seeking historical information about people, businesses and events in South Dakota, Fall River County and Hot Springs will enjoy browsing in the Helen Magee Heritage Room. We’re pleased to announce that this material has now been digitized. The collection was donated by Helen Magee, whose lifelong hobby was the preservation of history. Barbara Trumbull turned Helen’s collection of notes into binders and the Friends of the Library was instrumental in the digitization. Any errors are not the responsibility of the Library.
